United Methodist Women, like The United Methodist Church, is a connectional system. The major links of United Methodist Women are:
– Individual Circles
– The local & district unit
– The district organization
– Northeast District
– The conference organization
– North Alabama Conference (Connect online at www.nacumw.org)
– The jurisdiction organization
– Southeastern Jurisdiction
– National United Methodist Women (Connect online at www.unitedmethodistwomen.org or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/UMWomen)
All of these groups relate to one another in a variety of ways. Every level of the organization is involved in mission with Global Ministries.
Local and district united report to district organizations, which report to conference organizations. All local units, districts and conference are located in 1 to 5 jurisdictions.
United Methodist Women members also participate in mission in their local communities.-

It means joining a global community of women — over half a million — who are committed to the same purpose and have a passion to change the world around them.
Any woman who commits herself to the Purpose of United Methodist Women and to engage in mission, study, personal growth, and social action can join. You don’t have to be a United Methodist or meet an age requirement to be a member.
It’s easy to become a member of UMW, just talk to someone you know who is already a member of the organization, contact one of the Circle Leaders listed above, or contact:

Members of UMW are active in their church and the world around them in all kinds of ways. You’ll find members serving, teaching, sharing and advocating for others all over the world.
United Methodist Women members are committed to spiritual growth, giving to mission, social justice and living out their faith. They meet regularly for prayer, study, social action and mission engagement — they also get together just to have fun.
Many United Methodist Women members take on leadership roles at one time or another. Members might find themselves serving on behalf of the organization at local, district, conference, jurisdictional or national levels at some point in their lives.
