Here’s a bit about us.
Huntsville First United Methodist is one of the oldest churches in Alabama, having been founded in 1808. Over 200 years later and God’s Kingdom in this place is still active and flourishing, with nearly 3,000 members and growing. At Huntsville First, we seek an awakening through the Holy Spirit to strengthen our faith in God and influence our community to know the love of Christ.
Five Services
We recognize different people have different ways they feel the Spirit. We seek to support our community in many expressions, both traditional and contemporary. Each Sunday we host five services from 9 o’clock till noon.
Our buildings are centered around 120 Greene Street. On the north-east side of the street is the Wesley Center, home to our nursery, fellowship hall, student ministry, and the Wesley Worship Center. On the south-west side of the street is our Main Building, home to the Traditional Sanctuary, Chapel Church, the main offices, and Sunday School rooms.
City parking is free to use on Sunday morning, handicap parking is available along Greene Street, and the church has a parking lot on the corner of Greene and Clinton for weekday events.
Church is more than a Sunday morning. We encourage all who attend to take their faith and put it into action. Get involved and embody a servant’s heart by becoming a member, finding a group to walk with, and then pouring the love of Christ into your church family and community.
