Susanna Wesley Early Education Ministry
SWEEM
The name “Susanna Wesley Early Education Ministry” was chosen to honor Susanna Wesley, the “mother” of Methodism and an exceptional educator. The word ministry applies because SWEEM is a ministry to children, parents, our church, and our community.
This ministry operates as an outreach of Huntsville First United Methodist Church and is just one way the church expresses its call to influence our community to know Christ. Just as Jesus emphasized the importance of children, our church maintains an environment where children are nurtured morally, intellectually, and physically.
SWEEM offers combined full and half-day programs for infants through Kindergarten. Instruction and care activities are provided in a welcoming Christian atmosphere filled with warmth, love, compassion, and enthusiasm.
The programs of this Ministry meet or exceed the standards established by the Alabama Department of Human Resources for daycare centers.

Enrollment Process
Susanna Wesley Early Education Ministry is open to any child. Preference is given in this order: Children of SWEEM staff, children already in the program, siblings of children in the program, church members on waiting list, nonmembers on waiting list, and the community at large.
Your child will be placed on the waiting list based on the date we receive the form. When a vacancy occurs, we will call you right away.
Weather Related Closings:
All SWEEM programs will follow the Huntsville City School schedule for closing when inclement weather occurs.
